Business name: AccuDiagnostics Same Day Drug, Alcohol & Background Screening.

Owners: Terry and Elizabeth Johnson.

Address: 11800 N.E. 95th St., Suite 200, Vancouver.

What the business does: A full-service third-party administrator offering a comprehensive array of drug, alcohol and background screening, with nearly 40 offices throughout the United States.

AccuDiagnostics does Department of Transportation and non-DOT pre-employment and ongoing random employee screening, DNA paternity and infidelity testing and steroid testing. Also provides law enforcement with a product that detects drug residue in liquid or on surfaces. All services are available for walk-ins at the office or can be performed on-site via their mobile unit.

Employees: Two.

Greatest challenge: Changing the perception of what AccuDiagnostics does because many people think it is a treatment center. Also helping clients understand they are not being singled out for testing but are there to comply with the policy their company has for all employees.

What’s ahead: Planning to expand into Portland.

Telephone: 360-597-4543.

Fax: 360-597-4907.

E-mail: tjohnson@accudiagnostics.

Web site: www.accudiagnostics.com.

Year established in Clark County: AccuDiagnostics Same Day Drug, Alcohol & Background Screening started in 1992 and the Johnsons bought the Vancouver franchise in January 2008.

Hours: 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
