Area schools open; Green Mountain delayed

Southwest Washington schools are being affected by yesterday's heavy rains and the feared flooding, but locally the only school district closed or delayed is the Green Mountain School District.

Green Mountain schools are opening two hours late, but they had planned to close entirely yesterday afternoon. Battle Ground and Woodland are employing limited bad weather routes. Here is a full listing as of 6:30 a.m.

Clark Co. Schools
Battle Ground Sch. Dist. - Bus routes 2, 6 and 21 on snow routes.
Green Mountain Sch. Dist. - 2 hrs late

Cowlitz Co. Schools
Castle Rock Sch. Dist. - Closed
Kalama Sch. Dist. - Bus 2 and 65, No service on Kalama River Rd AM and PM
Kelso Sch. Dist. - Closed due to flooding and potential flooding.
LCC Head Start / ECEAP - Closed Head Start Barnes, Wallace, Castle Rock
Longview Sch. Dist. - Bus #15,19,56,6 on snow routes
Toutle Lake Sch. Dist. - 2 hrs late
Woodland Sch. Dist. - Bus 76, no service on Yale Bridge Road for AM and PM
