Discovery Middle School on alert after bomb threat

Discovery Middle School will be under extra alert this week after a bomb threat was found scrawled in a bathroom Tuesday afternoon, officials said.

School officials notified Vancouver police just before 3 p.m. after finding the message: "Bomb Thursday," on bathroom tile, according to 911 reports.

Pat Mattison, Vancouver School District spokeswoman, said police investigated and determined there wasn't need to evacuate the school or place the facility under lockdown.

But officials plan to be extra cautious for anymore threats or suspicous behavior, she said.
