Looks like it was an accident. I don't think I would have called and turned myself in. But, if it was an accident, he shouldn't have left the area. Hunting accidents happen every year.

I agree that something doesn't add up. Given the rifle and bullets he used, the fact that the bullet was found in Rojas' body indicates Craig missed the Elk and the bullet traveled a great distance to get to Rojas. If Rojas had been shot at close range (which Craig should have seen him), the bullet would have gone right through the body. In a dense woods how far is a hunter expected to see beyond his target? It is obvious that upon checking the area where the Elk had been, Craig would not have even seen Mr. Rojas. It was raining heavily that day, there were 100 other hunters in the area, Craig had missed the Elk; so for a man who works indoors for a living it would have been motivation enough to leave. Why he left will come out during the trial. I agree that it was an accident. I hope the anti-gun movement is not pushing an agenda of criminally charging hunters who have accidents with heavy prison time. It would assist them as a method of outlawing hunting and guns.

If that person just would have shot their husband at close range and took five to reload (with a shotgun) he'd have been out alot sooner and with alot less bail. Thats what we call gettin' it done! Our interesting idea of justice ? Nice

I would like to know who was the employer of the workers. Did they know it was HUNTING SEASON? HELLO!!! Did they have protective clothing for these workers? If not, WHY NOT. This is a horrific accident. THANK YOU FOR SETTING UP doneatesjoberg@yahoo.com
