Suspect pleads not guilty to Tacoma robberies

Friday, October 31 | 11:15 a.m.

A man accused of a string of motel robberies in the Tacoma area pleaded not guilty to four counts of robbery.

After pleas were entered Thursday in Pierce County Superior Court for 22-year-old Omari L. Moore he was jailed in Tacoma with bail set at $200,000. Prosecutors say Moore could be charged with more of the 10 holdups in the month-long spree.

Moore was arrested Wednesday in Tacoma after a tip from a woman who said he looked like the man seen in surveillance video of the robberies.

The Tacoma News Tribune reports he has a record in New York for a sex-related conviction.
