Missing hunter found near Twisp, Wash.

Thursday, October 16 | 7:45 a.m.

The Okanogan County sheriff's office says a missing 85-year-old hunter has been located about 12 miles west of Twisp, Wash.

Donald Swanson was found Wednesday afternoon after spending a cold night in the woods without food, water or shelter.

He was found by two hunters who joined a search party when they learned the man was missing.

Sheriff Frank Rogers says Swanson became separated from his brother on Tuesday while hunting in the Lime Creek area.
